The System

Tethered Drone Intelligence

A proprietary aerial mapping system mounted directly to the semi — deploying, mapping, and feeding real-time data to the operator without ever leaving the truck.

How It Works

From Cab to Sky in Seconds

Drone deployment from semi truck cab
SYS: ACTIVE · ALT: 400FT · TETHER: ENGAGED
01

Tether Mount

The drone system mounts to the cab roof via a ruggedized tether station. No external operators, no separate vehicles — the entire system travels with the load.

02

Autonomous Deployment

At the start of each haul, the drone deploys automatically to operating altitude. The tether provides continuous power and a hardened data link — no battery limits, no signal dropouts.

03

Active Route Mapping

The drone flies ahead of the load, scanning the route in real time. Overhead clearances, bridge heights, road conditions, and obstacles are identified and relayed to the operator instantly.

04

Live Operator Feed

A 4K live video feed and telemetry data stream to the cab display and dispatch center simultaneously. The driver sees what the drone sees — before the load gets there.

05

Data Export

All route data is logged and automatically formatted for DOT permit applications, compliance documentation, and project manager reporting.

Why Tethered

The Tether Changes Everything

Free-flying drones require separate operators, FAA waivers, battery swaps, and signal management. A tethered system eliminates every one of those constraints — continuous power, hardened data link, and a drone that stays with the truck for the entire haul.

Aerial drone scan of highway route

No Battery Limits

Continuous power from the truck means the drone stays airborne for the full haul — no swaps, no downtime.

Hardened Data Link

Fiber-optic tether delivers zero-latency 4K video and telemetry — no wireless interference, no signal loss.

Single-Crew Operation

No external drone operators needed. The system is managed entirely by the truck crew.

Regulatory Simplicity

Tethered operations fall under simplified FAA guidelines — faster permitting, fewer restrictions.
