From the Cab to the Sky
Hovis Mechanical grew out of years of firsthand experience in heavy haul transport. Our founders spent time behind the wheel and in dispatch — navigating the permits, the politics, and the unpredictable realities of moving oversized loads across state lines.
The idea for a tethered drone system came from a simple frustration: too many close calls that better information could have prevented. Low bridges, soft shoulders, unexpected utility lines — hazards that a few hundred feet of aerial visibility would have flagged before they became problems.
We spent years developing and refining the system. The tether solves the battery problem. The mount solves the deployment problem. The live feed solves the communication problem. The result is a platform that makes every haul safer, faster, and more defensible from a compliance standpoint.
